Port Grand Turk Island cruise ship schedule shows timetable calendars of all arrival and departure dates by month. The port's schedule lists all ships (in links) with cruises going to or leaving from Grand Turk Island, Cockburn Town, Turks and Caicos. By far the most unique thing about Grand Turk is that the ship is unbelievably close to shore. It means there’s a great photo opportunity of the ship right at the beach (also docked at a perfect angle).
You’ll see people up and down the shore, but if you want the best spot then we’d suggest heading north of the dock (to the left as you face the shore from the ship). Without a doubt the biggest draw at Grand Turk is the beach that sits right at the cruise ship. It’s beautiful, wide, and runs a nice distance so there is a spot for everyone and it’s free. However, its popularity can mean it gets crowded, especially close to the ship.
Although parts of the town’s waterfront have been damaged by hurricanes, some of the old colonial buildings still stand. Cars and jeeps will often be the best option for visitors to Grand Turk, especially for parties greater than two. The island is laid-back and driving is largely free of traffic and stress.

Unlike most Caribbean ports (where cruise ships dock close to a principal town), you will only find the Grand Turk Cruise Center at the end of the pier. The Grand Turk Cruise Center is a large open-air cruise terminal dotted with excursion booths offering most of the possible tours and activities in Grand Turk. Most of these shore excursions can be booked online or onboard your cruise ship. Cruise ships dock at Grand Turk’s cruise centre at the most convenient place possible.
There is plenty to do within the Cruise Center including a pristine beach, a swimming pool, bars, restaurants, and duty-free shopping. Visit Conch Shell Beach – Before turning in your golf cart, turn East and go past the rental place and then venture South to Conch Shell Beach (see Google Earth Map above to see the road). It’s also a great Instagram worthy spot with the cruise ships parked in the background. As mentioned above, I recommend wearing some shoes when walking around this area.
Scattered throughout the island you’ll find white sand beaches, salt pond remains, and a 19th-century Lighthouse perched at the end of the island. The island is also home to wild horses, donkeys, and flamingos. The best thing about all this is that unlike some cruise ports, all the beaches in Grand Turk are public and free to explore. Located north of Cockburn Town this serene beach offers a quiet atmosphere for interacting with the marine life in their habitat. Don’t worry about being under the harsh sun all day long; some parts of the beach are lined with trees that offer you natural shade.
